I also fully support finding Gustave.

And just throwing this out there, but we have the Lentive Demitasse. If we could find some Holy Water or if Josaine could try and create some(?) that might alleviate the need to take an extended rest.

We're actually looking pretty good on group HP, in my opinion. And Dorgan should be able to fight normally in a couple of hours.

We should stop long enough to use the Crystal Ball and then keep moving.

If we can't find holy water in an abbey, then... of course, it HAS been overrun by werewolves and their ilk, so maybe that lowers the odds a bit.

Let's do an inventory:

Who is down to 1 hit kill in HP?

What spells are still available?

If we are mostly HP healthy and have a spell or two still available, then we probably should press on, not just for Gustave, but also to prevent the opposition from having time to rest and recover themselves.

However, we're heading for the safe haven instead of continuing to explore down below for a reason. Last week we decided we need to "rest & recover in a safe place" before continuing. Was that decision premature?

Personally, I'm undecided...but lean toward continuing the attack rather than doing an 8 hour rest.

If the Vital Statistics page is correct, these are the only PCs with any damage:

Olaf 12/14
Desmond 9/12
Josiane 6/9
Dorgan 17/24
Torben 10/11
Wen 4/8
Armando 5/7

Dieter 9 STR
Dorgan 3 STR

Now that I look at it, the page is probably not accurate as Dieter took 4 points of damage while falling into the pit.

Might not hurt for everyone to check their inventory to see if anyone picked up any holy water at any point, too. One may have picked it up even as early as character creation and never used it yet, but we could use it for healing from the Cup of Chri... er, the Lentive Demitasse.

We were originally headed to the Reliquary for a full 8 hour rest. I think instead we are headed there for a more brief 1-3 turn rest so Josiane can use the crystal ball to try and sniff out The Gustave's current location and then get back to hunting for him.

Desmond's vitals are accurate - 9/12 hit points

If we're looking at who is at a 1-hit kill level, then Wen is most in need of healing.

It looks like Wen, Armando and Josiane are at the 1 hit kill level, at 4, 5 and 6 hp respectively.

There was a fountain, or water anyway, down where we are going. We haven't tried to use that water in the Demitasse for healing. I think we should.

If results of the scrying are inconclusive as far as finding Gustave, then Highbough would vote to finish exploring the surface level of the Abbey and to climb the walls or bell tower for a look around (for meta-game reasons).

On the main level, the only area unexplored is through the door on the north side of the north wall of the hallway we were just in. If it is like the western hall, then it will be a series of rooms - maybe storage rooms or sleeping quarters.

There is a set of regular stairs going down in the hallway to the right if you turn right after leaving the infirmary. As far as I know, it is also completely unexplored territory.

Maybe Ulric, Olaf, Berengar, and Torben (and Highbough) keep watch while everyone else rests and Josiane does her thing with the crystal ball? Or Ulric could use the crystal ball and Josiane can rest, too.
