Hmmm. FWIW, by my estimation, using the magic ring to leap out of the combat and then stay out of Owlbear reach would give Dieter substantially better odds of survival...

I was thinking that Dieter forgets he has the ring even under normal circumstances. So I really wouldn't expect him to think about it while he's enraged. But he might, if he could strike and then bounce away.

Oh well, Andaros will reconsider his charge then. He will cover Olaf and the other archers in case the creatures aproach.
