Josiane lays a gentle hand on Dorgan's shoulder.
"I fear they have been making ready for us since I rang the bell, my friend," she says softly; "To rush forward may be to walk into a trap. Let us secure control of the exit and join forces with the others. We should muster all our strength before we advance."

Dorgan turns to look at Josiane.
"I dunno, Miss. That last one looked surprised ta see us inside. We got a chance to catch 'em afore they lay their traps."
The dwarf will turn to Ulric and gesture at the mage's new-found friend.
"Mebbe he can ask this one what's going on in here?"

"Take care!" cries Josiane, dressing her shield; "These are not of the Faith! Fall back to the main gate and make ready for battle! Lord Dieter - close to me!"
At this,
Dieter draws his sword and rushes to her side, shielding her from whatever attack may come.
He's beginning to really hate being inside; it gives his enemies the home turf. But he eyes his surroundings for whatever tactical edge he can scrape out of them.

"Calmly everyone!" he says to the others moving back toward the gate with the group.
Looking down at Sister Meena, Ulric is as reassuring as possible.
"Fear not my good Sister. My friends are merely confused. Why would the Prioress not answer the knight's question? Do I have anything to fear within these walls? My friend still requires aid after all; just look at him."
Ulric motions toward Desmond/Mondes.
Seemingly on queue,
Mondes rubs his aching nose with the back of his hand and growls,
"'e's roit! Look at me bleedin' nose, ye dim-witted wannabe nun! Now ya gots ta fix Tweedle Dumb over here AND me nose!"
Desmond, ignoring the comment about Tweedle Dumb but ever looking for the chance to dig at his moody counterpart, replies,
"Boy are you dense. They're not nuns, ye blighter! They ain't gonna fix your nose any more than they're gonna rid me of your smelly breath."
Then he adds,
"It's your fault, by the way. I wanted nose guards on the helms and you were too cheap to get them. Now quit yer whining and keep a watch out for danger!"

Torben
Torben slings his shield off his shoulder and bears it in his right hand, with his staff at the ready in his left. He moves to secure the gate as instructed.

Josiane whispers to Dieter; "I have my fears about the true nature of the foe we may face. Should they prove to be of a kind that cold steel will not bite against, present the flat of your blade to me. The White Lady has granted me a blessing that will make a normal blade potent against a supernatural enemy and I fancy you can employ such a boon more efficiently than I."
She nods at Dorgan's suggestion that Ulric attempt to extract more information from 'Sister' Meena, but is still keen to reform the party and secure the exit before we move against the foe.

"
I will take you up on that offer my dear, if you truly fear we may face the...unnatural", says
Gustave, still not entirely sure how the delightful green-eyed prioress could actually be the undead spawn of the devil.
"
But first, I will summon the others to our backs", he adds, and strides of after
Torben to signal the rest of the party to their aid.

"I am not sure what we face," says Josiane; "That woman knew the correct response to the First Appeal, but refused to use it - and scornfully so. No follower of Thuul would speak so of the Temple, I am certain. That suggests to me that she is a woman of Faith - but her Faith is not in Thuul..."
Her thought process is broken abruptly as the Gustave strides off purposely towards the gates.
"Can we at least fall back together, please?" she implores, eyes darting left and right for any encroaching danger...
