See if I got this right.. There were 6 Werewolves. Highbough and Armando took 1 down. Right now there are 5 Left.
The one Desmond/Mondes is fighting is wounded we need to drop it if we can. It seems like those on the far side with Dieter should get the heck out of there. If Wen/Desmond/Josiane/Armando/Highbough can put this one down and then go back over the wall then at least we took out some priests and 2 of the werewolves.
That would be my first choice. BUt we can only devote one more round to it.

Is
Josiane in the line of sight of the Tar Monster?
Because she's actively trying not to be!
Can she see what's happened to
Gustave, ways? I'm not sure from the map.
It is
definitely time to leave.

Highbough was dismayed to see the werewolf survive two direct hits from his Ire Spear. How can he hope to hurt the Boss if he can't even kill the grunts? He doesn't think his Force Choke will be much use against the tar giant.

That is correct.

Not really, no. Dieter is on the opposite part of the wall, and his attention has been devoted to the clear and present danger of an uncomfortably nearby
werewolf.

Worst case; you could jump over the wall and take 1-6 points damage for the 10ft fall. Most of the PCs could handle that (preferable to a face full of disintegrate, methinks).

That is about right, except that four of the five remaining weres have taken hits. Desmond's opponent and the one Josiane pushed over the wall have sustained the most damage; the other three have taken minor hits. The were climbing down the bell tower is unharmed.
Knowing that they are 4 HD means they would be expected to take, on average, four normal hits (or have 14 hit points) each.

Everyone on the wall, with the exception of anyone hidden by the bell tower, is in line of sight. Those who are engaged in melee can't be targeted individually, but "the melee" can still be targeted.
So yes, Josiane is presently in sight. As is everyone else (bar Torben and Gustave).
doctorx wrote:Can she see what's happened to Gustave, ways? I'm not sure from the map.
Josiane has probably been far to occupied with the werewolf trying to rip her throat out to have noticed that Gustave climbed down into the courtyard behind her.
Realistically, the same is true for everyone else too.
Everyone has been fully preoccupied with fighting and staying alive, and there's no particular reason for anyone not to presume that Gustave would take care of himself.

Highbough's
Choke will affect man-types, of up to heroic (but not super-heroic) status.
Man-types are all men and other creatures of same basic proportions
Superheroic-types include all man-types of superheroic stature and all monsters that represent a superheroic threat. Collectively these are all creatures with 7 or more hit dice.

Ok scratch that
Maybe time to tie down his rope — or better yet loop it over something — and repel back over the wall. Others can follow.
