Assuming any greenskins about would have already fled or come running with all the noise of battle (or perhaps just impatient for a decent pile o' coin) Zax opens the door.

Akbar hangs the crossbow over his back and readies himself for a bit of the old ultraviolence with shield and axe, in the manner of his people.

Zax opens the door into what appear to be a dark, and mostly bare, walk thru pantry. There is another door opposite; the whiff of semi-rotten fish lingers in the air.

Meanwhile, the searching of the mess hall has concluded, and everyone there regroups in readiness to set off after the gnome and the priest...

Wetzel joins the marching order.

Zax puffs his moustache, walks through the smelly pantry, and opens the opposite door.

"Oh bother that impetuous gnome", sighs Dopey.

The hobbet scoops up the contents of the hob's purse, and sets off after the company crying "wait for me!!!"

With plate, helmet, shield, and five hits, Dopey will try to make his way to the front.

Zax marches thru the empty pantry to the opposite door, which he finds doth open into an L-shaped kitchen. There is a bench, a spent fireplace, and three doors; the pantry door via which he has just entered; another directly opposite him, and a third to his left, which is a split servery door.

Meanwhile, the rest of the company are just leaving the mess hall in good order, with a view to catching up to the impetuous Gnome, wherever he has gotten off to by now...

The Herald trusts Zax's nose for trouble and continues to follow him.
