Dorgan simply shrugs his shoulders and falls in line behind the young templar.

There is no sign of any entrance into the pavilion from this side, which is apparently the "rear", so Josiane leads the group cautiously around the perimeter to the left. There is a gap roughly 20ft wide (at its narrowest -- for the pavilion is an oval shape) between the side of the tent and the warehouse wall.
No sooner does the group start down this side passage than a low, threatening growl can be hear from within. It sounds as though a guard dog is issuing a questioning challenge...

"I don't suppose anyone's got some raw meat on 'em?" Dorgan whispers. "Otherwise, miss, ya better step back and lemme put that mangy mutt down."

Josiane nods, but half-heartedly, a troubled expression on her face. "Might we not attempt to subdue it instead?" she asks anxiously; "The poor animal is an innocent party to this filthy business. I have no wish to take life if there is an alternative."

"Well, I used ta be in the bizness of subdoin' but that was easier when I was doin' it to thick-headed criminals. Let's hope this dog has a thick skull, too."
Dorgan smiles at his own little rhyming joke as he steps past Josiane and around the corner to take a look at the dog. If it comes to combat, he will attempt to batter it into submission with the flat of his axehead and will use his off-hand dagger only in defense.

"Assuming it is a dog of course," murmurs Josiane under her breath as she gets a good grip on her sword and readies herself to follow Dorgan's lead...

"Raw meat..." mutters Mads sourly, shaking his head to deny that he carries pounds of the stuff at all times.
Not surprised, Dorgon steps further down the mock "passage" created between the side of the pavilion and the the warehouse wall. The growling from within escalates to a genuine threat level, and now it sounds like there might be two or even three of the critters. There is also the clinking sound of moving chain.
But there is no apparent entry in to the pavilion. The canvas side continues all the way right up to the front on the warehouse, where it looks as though it covers completely over the front entry of the warehouse itself.

Dorgan will mimic the act of cutting a hole in the canvas with his dagger while looking at the others for their reaction.
OOC: Can I tell the general direction of, and distance to, the growling from where I stand? If we do cut our way through, I'd prefer not to do it right next to the growls.

The growling is not far away... perhaps 20 or 30ft, directly ahead. It seems likely the dog(s) would know right where you are, given the torch light... their hearing... their sense of smell...
You could also lift the canvas without cutting it.

Dorgan will get down on one knee and lift the canvas just high enough to peek under it and see what's inside.
