LOL @Sully .. Batman and Robin for the win!
I can scarcely believe you didn't use a capital HTonneau wrote:a gleaming icon clad in shining mail crests the wall, shedding bulging wine-skins as he does so. Whether or not Ulric's spell is completed will be a matter of initiative:danhem wrote:Ulric will cast the Anthracite Sufferance upon the wolfmen attacking them, trusting in his more martial comrades to protect him.
OOC: Will Ulric's two remaining missiles strike before melee or after?
As to his remaining missiles, they are on "auto pilot" so can't be interrupted. They will be treated like regular missile fire; resolved first where the enemy has to charge into those loosing missiles, or otherwise according to the initiative dice. In this case, the wolf-men have all but closed to melee last turn, so now it's all down to the initiative dice. Interestingly, a late initiative roll will then make it possible to hit friendly targets in melee...DD3 Vol2 p14 wrote:Magic spells can be cast successfully in the turn that melee is joined if the caster wins initiative; otherwise, the caster is interrupted and his spell is ruined before completion. While a spell caster remains engaged in melee spell casting is not possible.
Gustave is feeling decidedly cool today, as is His wont.flightcommander wrote:I am imagining heat-seaking missiles that have missed their intended target but continue to zip around until they "lock" onto a new target. Am I on the right track?
Sounds like a pretty good interpretation to meflightcommander wrote:I am imagining heat-seaking missiles that have missed their intended target but continue to zip around until they "lock" onto a new target. Am I on the right track?
The wolf-men will be attaching Olaf, Beringar and Ulric in melee this turn, from very short range. Olaf will need to win initiative to fire first, otherwise his shot will be spoiled and wasted.Eris wrote:Olaf is using a silvered arrow to fire into the attacking Wolf-thing!
