The Abbey
(Torban, Dieter, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan, Ulric, Josiane and Gustave)

Josiane steps forward and delivers her introduction (2d6=8 +adjustments), noticing the second nun's bare feet as she does. Nothing else is unexpected -- excepting, perhaps, the woman's beauty and startling green eyes.

The nun stares Josiane down imperiously, clearly disturbed at finding a company of mercenary fighters in the abbey, but not entirely certain what to do about it.

"Sister Meena," she snaps, "See that these... friends of yours are tended in the infirmary. Miss Josiane, you may accompany me and deliver your missive to our Mother directly."

Meena bobs her head with a secret smile toward Ulric, "Yes, Prioress," she intones.

The Prioress waves Josiane thru the door she is standing by, while Meena waits for Josiane, intending to continue on toward the infirmary with the others.

Gustave, always ready for the unexpected, decides that this nun must be the one in distress, and diplomatically accompanies Josiane.

Josiane takes in the second nun's appearance, notes the presence of bare feet again - and the attempt to split the party; perhaps in all innocence. Perhaps not.

She raises a restraining hand as Gustave steps forward eagerly.

"I thank you, Sister," she says courteously; "But, given the nature of my mission, I trust you will understand if I must take certain precautions."

She meets the Sister's green-eyed stare with her own unwavering gaze. Sparks of bright fire dance in its grey depths as she asks her question.

€œWho is come unto the sign of the Enigma?€

This isRufus's first real adventure, and he does not want to be left out.

Rufus will sneak near the front gate so he can hear anything that goes on inside, while keeping under cover from any detection.

The Prioress, still standing in the doorway, gives Josiane a cool smile.

"We are not needy here, girl. Nor are we unworthy or without guidance. The world is hardly so black and white as your precious temple would have you believe..." she says, and then (to Gustave's dismay) steps back through the doorway, disappearing from sight.
