OOC: If Dieter's plan is to jump to the other side trailing a rope long enough to span the gap, then Olaf will provide the rope, but if that isn't what he has in mind or it doesn't look like that is going to work, then Olaf still plans to go down the ravine wall to the floor using his 60' of rope and any length of dangling chain to get him as close to the bottom as he can.coffee wrote:Any chance of a quick map? I have a plan, but need to see something...
OOC: Only one comment here...Olaf is not going to tie the rope around his waist, sling it around, yes, but not tie it. He doesn't want the giant to have a chance to grab the rope and yank him up like a fish out of water. He'll get down as far as he can, try to make the rest of the way climbing down the ravine face if he has to, but if worse comes to worse, he'll fall rather than be grabbed or yanked back up. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.waysoftheearth wrote:Koch is dangling precariously by one hand from the center of the bridge!
Olaf makes hasty preparations to rappel down into the ravine, slinging his rope about his waist and affixing the other end to a length of chain that dangles from the portcullis gate.
There comes a great thud and the whole of the gatehouse shudders -- dust and rubble tumble from the walls and a great bellow is issued from the front gate, where (those who dare look) espy the awful features of the Giant's head, its yellow eyes glaring into the courtyard over the front wall. Its lays a meaty paw upon one tower... perhaps preparing to vault the wall?
