The Stonechapel Dwarves take great pride in their craft, and hold others to high standards. Urist hands the figurine back to Coln and kicks at the embers of the campfire with his boot. "Bah! All great craftsmen leave a stamp of the maker's hand upon their work. This figurine bears no flaw nor tool mark; it has no soul! We should convert it to cash at our next opportunity. 200 gold, if we're lucky in today's economy."

An Elvish spellbook? Hagwen was full of surprises!

Rested, Alrik examines the spellbook to see what secrets he can glean from it.

Phadian

"I am still not quite at full strength, but if we make a light day of it I can heal myself before bed and be right as rain for the next day. We could go back in the cave, but I think they would be on high alert, may be better to scout around the hill and see what it is they are trying to keep out."

Coln

"Sounds good.."

There is a somber mood around the camp. Alrik leafs through the spellbook he found, he notices that the title page bears a dedication.

"To Euraidel on the day of your Knighting. May this simple tome grow overtime as the seed becomes the unstoppable Ivy. With affection Hirindaal". The Elven words are known to Alrik and contained in the spellbook are the common spells of most apprentices. (All 1st level spells).

While Arik reads this Aurora the dog sits by the grave of Hagwen and looks sad.

Phadian suggests scouting the hilltop. Refer back to the image http://forum.immersiveink.com/viewtopic ... 838#p16838

"I'd rather scout this sucker in the daytime than at night," suggests Urist. "For starters I'm very curious about that enormous skeleton over there... anyone want to take a look with me? (Other than you, Squishy, yes... who's a good dog?"

Rhegaer stands up after resting a bit. "I'll check it out with ya."

He grabs a spear and his shield and follows Urist.

Phadian

Picks up staff and follows them. "I could use a walk, no use letting these wounds stiffen on me."

Alrik stows the new spellbook and follows.

"Hold up! I'd better go with you!"

Ulrik, Rhegaer, Phadian, and Alrik make the short 1mile meandering walk to the bones of the Dragon.

Coln, Rik, and Shoul stay at the camp with Mule and Aurora.

When the four adventures get close they feel the cold presence of death. Even after all these years the area has no grown over, intact the grasses seem to die where they get to close to the bones.
