LOL! Dorgan is bad ass, but Living Statues of Iron (as they are properly known) are seriously bad ass.

The only time Dorgan encountered a Living Statue of Iron, he cut it in twain with Mads Cold Iron Axe. So forgive him a little enthusiasm.

That axe truly is the bane of many!

But I've been wondering... Is it exceptional in quality (magical or otherwise) or is it just another axe?

For example, any time you mention Mads' Cold Iron Axe, you have to set the text to be bold and some variation of blue (though the specific colour of blue seems to vary). It's not every day you set an item off with bold, coloured print!

The only thing we've been able to determine definitively is that it was able to hit the werewolves in the abbey when normal weapons failed to harm them.

Outside of that, it has the power of an infinite number of Mads via its former owner(s). Dorgan fears the day that another Mads will show up and ask for his axe back.

Ha! I have to admit, I was a bit dejected when Verhaden switched his name up to Torben. I was hoping for a continuation of the name...

Mads the Presupposed
Mads the Unwary
Mads the Determined

...and so on.

Though having the original Mads in the party would certainly be the preferred scenario. He would be most formidable at this point.

The item has been gaining notoriety continually throughout the course of the game. That is the cool thing about it--continued reverent treatment by the player's has made it into something special.
