Dame Simonetta will join Willie in scouting south a bit before firing the mould.

if shown directions to the supply room in the dungeon he gets directions and get some oil
( OOC can his class use oil? or is that a AD&D rule?)

OOC: Good question. Yes, I will allow druids to use flaming oil in this campaign. But the party has plenty of oil: total 23 flasks between everybody, by my count. I'm sure someone could loan Bilfur a flask or two. But it's not safe for him to wander off by himself, a 1st level PC on dungeon level 2.
Map update coming shortly...

Turn 17
The southern tunnel goes 20' and opens up into a 20'x30' cave, with exits to the west and east.
In the center of the cavern floor, there is an irregular gray patch that seems wetter than the surrounding stone, almost
oozing in texture. Before the party's horrified eyes, the gray slurry ripples and comes together as a 10' diameter pool with the texture of wet cement. It somehow seems to
sense our heroes and begins flowing directly toward them!
The encounter takes place at 30' distance. Neither side is surprised. The ooze-creature is moving at a slow walking pace. What do you do??

"Yuck! If it's not mold, it's slime!"
Willie notes the thing's slow movement speed.
"Retreat! Let's open some space and then see if sling stones will do anything to it! But watch out for the yellow stuff!"
So pull back northwest till we think we can get off a volley before it catches up to us.

If we can lure it back into room 5, we can have a "2 for 1" bonfire!
Dame Simonetta will also sling a stone at the creature as she retreats.

Kiplyn would also sling a stone at the grey puddle and retreat taking care to stay well away from the yellow stuff. "Worse and Worse, I don't think this place ever gets a good cleaning."

Gray Ooze Battle Round 1
The fleet-footed hobbets are able to stay one step ahead of the sluggish gray ooze.
Dame Simonetta, Willie, and Kiplyn launch an accurate volley of sling stones. The creature splatters into a thousand droplets of inanimate goo! The gray ooze is destroyed!
Our heroes find themselves back in the yellow mold room (area 5).
I am assuming you do not stop and take a post-combat rest turn here in the mold room; breathing in spores?
The party wins initiative 4-2.
Sling attacks:
Willie natural 20 for 6hp
Dame Simonetta 14 hit for 4hp
Kiplyn 17 hit for 4hp
the gray ooze takes 14 damage and is destroyed!
