Guntrum pushes as hard as he can on the roof beam(s) to try to tear a hole in the roof.
(I had thought I was at the far end of the passage from the foe so that they would be flanked by the others in the large room - confused that I am blocking everyone else's view. Or is this due to how large I've gotten? Just how large is that?)

(Josiane, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan, Dieter and Wen)
Meanwhile, behind, the tide of baying wolves come rushing at Desmond/Mondes as Josiane bravely moves into a supporting position, and Wen sends his eye-fire and candles flames zipping among them. Desmond/Mondes blows long and hard upon his wolf-whistle as the canine onslaught come on...
(The wolves make a reaction check; 2d6=3!)
...and they fall into confusion as their ears prick up and head them in all directions. Some veer sharply one way or the other, others jerk back to listen, others fall to the ground with their paws over their ears. But their charge is broken up without falling upon their prey and our heroes are spared for at least a moment.
Dieter and Dorgan sense the four wolfmen are offended by the noise also... but spy beyond them another pair of black-robed priests standing in the runic doorway, observing the melee from a relatively safe distance.
Thaaaats what I'm talkin' about. Confusion and chaos amongst the foes. Was hoping to maybe give the wolfmen at least a penalty to their attack and/or defense with that, as well. Looks like it might have worked.
While
Desmond concentrates on blowing his wolf whistle,
Mondes concentrates on striking at the nearest wolf, preferably one that is cowering on the ground covering its ears
(what? It's Mondes!), with his (their) sword, hoping to add the threat of danger to the confusion brought on by the whistle.

At the slightest hint of confusion or hesitation in his foe, Dieter will press his attack.

For a split second, as the enemies fall back, Dorgan considers parley. But then he sees the hatred in their yellow eyes, and he grimly moves forward to finish the task at hand, shoulder to shoulder with Dieter.
Still, talk is cheap. He won't stop attacking but he will roar, "Yield or die!"

Seeing Desmond/Mondes moving to the attack Josiane advances to join him, although the gentle-hearted maiden cannot but baulk at the thought of attacking an animal in distress, even fell creatures such as these.
She will bring the flat of her blade down hard on the muzzle of the nearest wolf, hoping to drive it off.
"Get thee hence, hound of hell!"

Gustave blinks in disbelief and checks his forward movement as Guntram suddenly evolves into a giant before his very eyes. He backs off instead as the normally quiet lad begins straining at the ceiling, sending chips of plaster and dust raining down.
He retreats to a safe distance and settles for observing the circus from under a raised brow...

I must study one of those beans, he thinks to himself. Perhaps I could concoct a potion.
Ulric snaps out of his contemplation to appraise the situation. Now that Guntram was a giant the rest of them were trapped in the chamber.
"Can you push forward and attack?" Ulric shouts to Guntram.
As he waits for an answer, Ulric resumes his study of the chamber looking for any other exits.
