Once that is done he will go back inside and look around to see who among the party is still here.
Dieter is here. He is visibly pleased to see his old comrade up and about.

The Cloister
(Josiane)
There are weeds growing around the edge of the cloister wall half way to Josiane's knee. If she were to lay Jehen's sword along the foot of the wall, it would be impossible to spot without a thorough search.

The Jolly Noose
(Gustave, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan)
The trio sit themselves down at one of the few available tables and order a feed from the waitress. The patrons are mostly human and mostly well to do. ish.
There is a busy buzz of conversation about the place, with snippets of discussion over prices, weights, volumes, and trades rising to the ear over the general babble.
It isn't long before Dorgan's beer and cheese arrives, along with a hearty bowl of lamb and vegetable stew with a heel of bread for Desmond/Mondes, and a carafe of wine for Gustave.
Dorgan scans the room for opportunities as he sips thoughtfully at his beer. It is a reasonable brew, for a Man-beer, but not a patch on the full bodied beers of the Dwarfs...

The Manse
(Dieter, Olaf, Ulric, Highbough, Guntrum are here, in various places)
Dieter gives Olaf a rare grin and a hearty clap on the back, the big Man hardly knowing his own strength. Still, Dieter is well pleased to see the young fighter up and about.
Highbough is keen to discuss strategy as he follows the fighters (Dieter, Olaf and Guntrum) on a slow walk around the grounds as they inspect the fences, gate, and so on.

The Manse
Meanwhile (inside), Ulric discusses the accounts and arrangements with Bennug the butler.
Bennug confirms that a total of 1 gold crown, 48 silver shillings and 4 copper pennies were added to the coin box this morning.
A cooked meal for a Man generally costs 1 sp (times three meals per day), although shopping in bulk and cooking on the premises will reduce the cost of such meals to 2 sp per person per day. Plain, uncooked fare will feed a Man for 1 sp per day.
Thus, with the available coin, the larder can be stocked enough to feed the present company of nine well for 3 days, or else on plain (uncooked) "rations" for approximately a week.
Ulric is slightly impressed with Bennug's neat little book of figures and exacting records of expenses.
(Does the company want to eat good, hearty meals for 2 sp per person per day, or basic uncooked "rations" for 1 sp per day?)
Regarding the hiring of Men-at-Arms, Bennug replies, "I am butler, Sir, and unschooled in the martial craft. I am sure Sir could acquire the services of fighting-Men from one of the many Traders at the Traders' Concourse. Or, if Sir wished to avoid various fees levied by the Concourse, Sir might look to hire such Men directly at any of the various taverns such Men frequent."
Bennug further adds that "Goblin fighters are as numerous as Men in Ket these days, and as mannerly as most Men. They have excellent night vision, and are much cheaper to maintain than are Humans."

Desmond digs into the delicious stew, trying not to make a mess of things. Although he appears to be eating full-out, he consciously shifts the bits of lamb with gristle in them over to the right side of the bowl for Mondes to chew on.
"So..." Desmond says, between mouthfuls, "Where to next, Gustave? Back to the hovel, is it? Or do we need any further equipment for 'cleaning out our basement'?" he asks with a wink.

Josiane conceals her arms and armour as well as she can, (pressing the hilt of her sword to her lips and saying a swift prayer over it before hiding it in the weeds).
She then stands, wraps her cloak around herself and returns to the door.
"I stand ready," she says; "Kindly admit me."

Dorgan starts to think aloud.
"I wonder how many of our crew have bows? Should be able ta pepper that thing with arrows or bolts and not get touched."

Ulric takes careful note of household finances so that he can report it to the assembled company and find out who has not yet contributed.
"Thank you Bennug. I think that we will keep to cooked meals. Be sure and let me know if there is anything that the staff requires to help keep things running smoothly."
Ulric heads to the dining room in search of food.
OOC: I think that were are all spread out in time as well as space. Ulric spent most of the day (~6 hours) in study. Perhaps a dinner assembly is in order to go over our next objective?
