Hagwen
Hagwen will continue up front, arrow on bow-string, watching carefully for any signs of ambush, trap or anything concealed on walls/floor/ceiling. She also keeps her less-than-shell-like ears peeled for any sound up ahead.

Rhegaer the Red
Rhegaer keeps in line with Hagwen, his bow out and ready, as well.

Hagwen and Rhegaer start forward followed by Coln and Aurora who are trailed by Phadian and Alrik. Everyone is ready for trouble...
Is the Wizard in.....
eAsp:roll 1d6
mgt's roll comes to 2 [2 on 1d6]
The entrance is in the East Wall North Corner.
Beyond the Archway you see a 30[w]x50 room filled with dozens of wooden tables each of which is filled with all manner of strange devices. Here you see ceramic pots, and glass beakers, there you see copper tubes rising out of sealed jars and sit on top of small charcoal braziers. On one table there are ink pots and pieces of paper with scribbled notes and another there piles of sand, coal, and iron ingots.
The smells are confusing, metallic, sulfurous, and yes bacon? Almost at once you notice in one corner a small pig turning on a spit, the spit is connected to a chain that runs through some gears that is attached to bag of sand... Aurora wags her tail and and gives out a little begging whine.
Yet you see no one in the Room..... There are no other exits from the room.

Phadian
"<very quietly> Lets do a thorough check for secret doors. Seems unlikely someone would roast a pig and not be nearby. "

Rhegaer the Red
"Not here," Rhegaer whispers. "Let's try that other passage..."

"Fascinating," Alrik says as he takes in the room. "This must be the wizard's personal laboratory. I wonder of there are any books... well, I'd like to look around in any case."
Unless the concensus is otherwise, Alrik will examine the tables, jars, notes and maeterials in this room a bit more closely.

Rhegaer shrugs as the others snoop around. He watches the entrance, on the lookout for activity, standing right in the doorway.

Phadian
I will stash my sling and stone away. I will retrieve our light source when we are ready to proceed.

The party starts to spread out. Alrik looking at the contents of the tables, Phadian poking at the walls, Aurora wagging her tail at the roasting pig.....
How long does the party spend, approximately doing this? Are there any other specific instructions.

Hagwen
"Careful."
Hagwen holds up her hand as people start to move to examine the room.
"It don't go ta start sniffin' 'round a wizard's gaff while the wizard 'isself ain't snuffed. An' knowin' what we do of this wizard, 'e ain't gonna 'ave left it unguarded."
"Best let me 'ave a butcher's first; the rest of yers keep a sharp eye out. The sneaky bugger's about somewhere..."
She scratches Aurora behind the ears.
"I know, darlin', but best be patient, eh? Ye'll get yer treats when we knows it's safe, I promise."
And with that, assuming there are no objections, she will move to examine the room for any sign of trap or concealment, though she is careful not to touch anything at this stage.
