Regarding the current bout of food poisoning--Josiane's Anathema Demurred would hold any ill effect at bay for a day or three... now that might be useful if Wen or Highbough are needed in a relatively diplomatic state.

The spell has up to three days effect because Josiane is 3rd level; I'd allow Josiane to effect three subjects for one day each if she wishes. Of course, seeing that she herself is ill it would to take a supreme effort (a successful system shock roll) to get the spell off without passing out during the invocation and ruining it.

One of the three effects should be on herself so she can investigate the relics and see if she can cure Desmond's blindness.
