Dame Simonetta would prefer to try the tunnel heading south (past the narrow ones, but not all the way back to the lake).

OOC: Willie is correct on both counts:
1. The rust monster lair is fully explored (all nooks and crannies).
2. Dougal should be a 4th level thief (Lanthorn) with 10hp. Sorry about that ehiker! I got a little thrown off by the changes to the Thief XP Table from v4 to v5 of Delving Deeper.
I have not awarded XP yet. The totals on the reference page are as of the end of the previous adventure.

OOC: Here is a big map showing how Dungeon Levels 1 and 2 fit together. I'm posting it as a link, not an image, because the image is HUGE!

Sorry the styles don't match. At some point, I plan to re-do the Level 1 map in the new style.

Willie agrees with Dame S!
Generally let's explore Level 2 a bit more and then maybe we can explore the "new" route through Level 1 on our way back.

Turn 16
The southern passage leads to a damp, mildewy cave (Area 5) with another exit to the south. The eastern half of the chamber is choked with lumpy
yellow mold. The western half is clear of mold (perhaps because of air ventilation through the cracks).

"Yuck" says Kiplyn and tries not to breathe to deeply as he stay well away from the mold patch.

Kiplyn's right: the mold is disgusting! He recalls the proverbial expression, 'I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.' Dotted throughout the eastern half of the room are a half-dozen lumps or mounds, where the mold bubbles up to three feet high.

We could try to burn it away with more flaming oil and check out those lumps. Or we could simply bypass it and head south. Dame S votes to bypass and head south.

As curious as Willie is at to whether there's something valuable under there, he votes with Dame S to keep exploring for now.
