(OOC: Is the wall wide enough on top that we can move around to different positions? Is it low enough that we can drop down to the other side without getting hurt? Would it be possible to hop (or blink using the Ire Spear) onto the internal rooftops and move around the compound that way?)
The wall appears no wider that 2ft at the most -- with an Elf's agility one might be able to "tight rope" along the top.
It is about 10ft high, so if one were atop it, it wouldn't be overly dangerous to hang down by ones hands, and at full reach drop the last 4 or 5ft to the ground within.
Leaping from roof top to roof top seems plausible -- especially with the power of the Ire Spear at your disposal.
Interesting... these trees are mostly young apple trees. The outer members of the copse are mere saplings.

He does so, and looks on as the front gate is approached...

The Front Gate
(Torban, Dieter, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan, Ulric, Josiane and Gustave)
Josiane raps upon the bell exactly once with her gauntleted knuckles. It emits a small tinny ding, and then creaks as it swings back and forth forlornly in the breeze.
There follows a long anxious period where only the breeze can be heard, rifling through the otherwise desolate crag lands in weary stops and starts...

That leaves Envongr, Guntram, Rufus the halfling, Garven the Dwarf, Torben, Wen the elf, and Armando at the camp in reserve (unless their respective players should declare otherwise).
Rufus not wishing to miss out on any fun. Moves to the edge of the crag with
Wen and he keeps a close watch on the main group. Ready to back them up if they need help. If Rufus looses sight of them he will move closer so he stays in eye contact.

Guntrum stays within sight of Wen but out of sight of the abbey, having no particular gift of stealth. Should Wen signal for the reserves, he'll come at the double.

If there are any apples hanging from the tree, Highbough pockets one for his good friend Murphy. For the moment he stays hidden in the foliage, looking and listening for signs of activity within the compound.

"
Hmmm...yes", muses
Gustave, scratching the back of his neck, "
Or perhaps a more direct approach is called for?"
He turns to
Dieter and
Desmond/Mondes, "
Are you ready you two?"
