Beppo perked up! If the others were ready for the dungeon, his roof climbing could wait!

Kiplyn is ready.

OOC: I finally had a chance to catch my breath after the holidays and update the map with the connecting passage between areas 32 and 10. The tunnel does an interesting corkscrew, looping back over itself (like the tunnel between area 6 and 7). Also there are a few small rat-tunnels to the west, as expected.

Our maps are by Tim Hartin at Paratime Designs. Some of you probably recognize his work from dragonsfoot and other forums. I think those of you who have gamed with me before will agree, map-making was never my strong suit. Giving up on making my own maps, and buying some pro maps, was the best DM decision I ever made! Are you peeps enjoying the cave environment? Is it a fun break from the usual rectangular-room dungeon environment?

@scottenkainen, my purpose here is to tie up a loose end from The Sixth Adventure, some stuff the party passed on their way back to the surface. You are welcome to look, or not look at the map, as you choose. You're a mature enough player to understand the difference between player knowledge vs. Beppo's character knowledge. I love that Beppo is literally climbing the walls in excitement; that makes me feel good as a DM.

OOC: Dougal mentioned something about restocking oil-flasks, and it gave me an idea: Should we play that out, in-game? Would anyone volunteer to 'tour guide' the new guy Beppo to the secret underground you-know-what, where adventuring gear is available for purchase? (Topping off your rations is free-of-charge, as always: Frederick has been experimenting with new biscuit recipes.)

I've talked you through the Dungeon Entrance six times now; it would be fun to listen to one of you describe the wonders of areas 1-2-3 for a change of pace. I'll cut you off if/when there's a wandering monster attack.

I will need marching orders (two-abreast and single-file) and to know who is holding light sources.

bilfur is somewhere in the middle

Beppo would love a tour of the secret underground you-know-what, if anyone mentioned it. Otherwise he would accompany everyone to the dungeon.

Beppo planned to be in the back half of the party, hoping to observe for awhile and see how everyone worked together. He did not plan on holding a light source, but would accept torchbearer duty if he had to prove himself that way.

Dame Simonetta will take the lead position, as is her wont.

OOC: Not interested in "taking the lead" to describe everything though, to be clear.

Noh is best in second or third rank in doubles, or fourth or fifth in single file. To take advantage of Carc's watchful eyes.
Unless the party needs him to rear-guard. His hit points ain't nothing to speak of, but AC is similar to most others.

Kiplyn is near the back. But he talks the new club members through the entrance. "Ok remember it's dangerous where we are going to always be ready, don't get too comfy. We are going down this ladder into the caves"
