You have the appropriate actions for Faengol. He will only engage if behind a foe with zero chance of being noticed or struck back. Otherwise, he will wait behind the attackers, possibly looking for a chance to cast his spell. If more than half the group falls in the first two rounds, running is a valid option (feets don't fail me now!).
