The story I'm telling when we get back to town, by the way, is that it was a beholder. It was dark and I was too busy bouncing off bookshelves to look closely.

To be fair, my backported Grell is somewhat less deadly than the AD&D version due to my abstracting its number of attacks per round down to just two rolls (based on its 5 HD). Meanwhile the AD&D version is meant to roll 10 individual attacks per round at 1-4 damage each.
I'll have to think about whether it should get more attack rolls per round. Meanwhile, I wonder what treasure type they have...?
Time to dig out the ol' Fiend Folio and see if there's loot to be wished for, or not!
EDIT: Treasure Type: Nil.
O, the disappointment!

Good call with Dorgan! I was going to ask you to try the Marrowstone again because I'm curious if the nest was the gold and silver you detected before... Of course I'm getting ahead of myself. Exciting stuff this cursed abbey!

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly... I know the last time I used the stone, it indicated that there was gold in the room where Gustave was, but a level deeper. So this may be it or we may find a second source of loot!
