Wen's got no problem searching the dead beast. I'll check for more bad guys first while we get Dieter on his feet.
I'd really like to get the full party together get a night's rest and then go after the gold the merrowstone told us about

Ya, I was surprised as anyone that Dieter survived that.
At the start of the round I couldn't see how he could make it, but who could predict a fantastic initiative roll and then a raft of hits (including Dorgan's double 20)? It's always awesome when wildly unpredictable things go in the party's favour ;D
Regarding Mr. Badguy; that was a Grell.
To be fair, my backported Grell is somewhat less deadly than the AD&D version due to my abstracting its number of attacks per round down to just two rolls (based on its 5 HD). Meanwhile the AD&D version is meant to roll 10 individual attacks per round at 1-4 damage each.
I'll have to think about whether it should get more attack rolls per round. Meanwhile, I wonder what treasure type they have...?

Hoping for magical halfling weapon treasure... Desmond is going to look for any sing of a nest near where it appeared...

And if we can make it back to town, it looks like some levels can be taken!

I've updated everybody's XP for the 3 year and 11,000 post gifts, as well as all of the recent activities. Several of you already have enough XP to level up... thou I guess you'll want to take home some treasure too

Oh boy! I have a level if I can survive long enough to take it. I've been putting off doing any plan because I assumed once I opened my mouth i'd get killed ;0.

It's too bad town is two days away across hostile territory. Oh yeah, and town is also hostile territory. Never a dull moment.
