The north corridor goes 30' north of the junction, then turns west in the 40' section and goes 10' to a door. You hear nothing from behind the door

We open the door.

...onto a 20x30 room (30' N/S centered on the door). Ther are only a few cobwebs in here, and in one corner looks to be a skeleton with maybe some armor

Look in, checking all around for spiders. Even the ceiling. Tricky buggers.

There are no spiders. You are sure. Well you think you're sure. Probably

Aldbane enters, checking the skeleton visually. Can he see anything unusual about it or the armor?

The skeleton looks to be slightly smaller than a full grown man. The armor looks too small to really be armor - a chain-mail halter and a skirt

Steel? or some more exotic material?

Anything else near the skeleton that could give some clue as to who it was or how it died?

There is no trauma on the bones. The material looks like good-quality chain mail links
