Let's hope his luck holds, he's not exactly in the best of positions right now!

What can be said about this game that hasn't already been said?
Nice work, Ways.
I'm sure the party splitting into five groups wasn't a nefarious ploy by the players to artificially increase the posting rate so we could earn free XP. No sir, not even a chance of that...

If we're not down to 4 threads by now, we should be very soon (49 and 50). Not that it helps the smaller party deal with a tentacled floating head in any way... If only it were Ulrich laying on his back under the thing; he could make like a gas stove and turn up the burners!
But maybe we can change Dieter's moniker to "Dieter Floating Head Slayer".
Or... Desmond will be happy to take it since he couldn't do a thing to the werewolves.
Much better than Desmond the Whistle Blower, anyway. He's always nervous about keeping his job.

That was darn scary!! Nice encounter Ways but I think our small group better go find the others before the next Wandering Monster check pulls up a Beholder
I wish I had a glass bottle. I'd take a few samples of that beast for study, but alas I have nothing, and putting blood soaked creature in a bag doesn;t sound like fun.

I gotta confess, I thought Dieter was a goner.
I mean, Dorgan's good but I didn't think he was double natural 20s good!

You thought
Dieter was a goner? I was already reaching for another 3d6!
You know the game is intense when the DM is afraid to roll...

It was intense at "purple, beaked floating thing" (I still have no idea what it was)...
It was agonizing at "carrying Dieter in the air".
And it was supremely joyous at Dorgan's double 20's!
I think I have your new signature, Sulldawga...
"Dorgan, purple beaked floaty thing slayer"

Nice one, Dorgan! ;D
Knowing what that thing was from my DM'ing days, I'm amazed we got away! It's the first time I've encountered one without at least 1 PC fatality!
Breathtaking stuff, ways. What a game!
