"What a decent, sensible man," she thinks to herself; "Although I'm not sure about the Hobbit tossing, even Mondes, vexing though he can be. (And poor Desmond would suffer as well, of course). Nonetheless, I count myself favoured by the White Lady that I share Lord Olaf's company. I find him - "
She pauses in her musings, not entirely sure quite how to finish that particular thought.
She settles for blushing slightly and favouring Olaf with her pretty smile...

Very well. It appears we have the makings of a "plan".
If I understand it, we have Olaf and Highbough making the circuitous route around around behind the abbey (made doubly long if they wish to stay out of sight) wherein they plan to lurk among the trees on the slope above the abbey.
Meanwhile, after Highbough and Olaf are in position, Dieter, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan, Ulric, Josiane and Gustave will approach the front gate and Josiane will knock on the door. Dieter, carrying Desmond/Mondes underarm, will leap the wall if necessary.
That leaves Envongr, Guntram, Rufus the halfling, Garven the Dwarf, Torben, Wen the elf, and Armando at the camp in reserve (unless their respective players should declare otherwise).
So it is agreed, and Olaf and Highbough make off in order to get into position. They will need 20 minutes head start to circle around the abbey out of sight, so they others wait patiently...

Josiane would rather not drag Murphy into harm's way. She asks Garven if he would be kind enough to look after him for the present. He seems to have a fondness for Dwarves...

Garven gives a stoic grunt that might be agreement. The mule is unperturbed.

Torben
Torben elects to go with the main group, disliking the thought of being 'left behind' at the camp.

Envongr is fine with the plan (mostly because he's too stupid to understand it).

...and Saint Winifred is not alone.
The Gustave's all-seeing-eye notes this subtle slip-of-the-veil with some interest, and he silently muses upon what a clumsy, uncouth young fool
Olaf is to deserve such attentions...

ooc: I assume the reserve is with visual range of the main party?

Last eve's camp site is perhaps 120 to 150 yards from the abbey itself, behind an intervening crag. In daylight, the abbey is easily visible from the camp site, but there is nothing preventing the reserve from relocating itself.
Meanwhile, it is now a quarter hour or more since Olaf and Highbough set out, so the gate party now make a bee line for the abbey. There is no real need for concealment -- indeed, if there is any watch it should be better that their eyes are upon the gate party than searching out Olaf and Highbough...
The gate party makes a respectable pace, given the rough, inclined terrain of loose pebbles and rocks, and it isn't another quarter before they are within 100ft of the stout timber wall...
