Let's have a listen at the door leading north, and try that, rather than going back to the hall.

After listening, you open the door onto a huge room, 50' tall by 60 feet wide. The door you opened is on the 20' section of the 60' long south wall.. There are doors on the west wall at the 20' mark, and the east wall at the 30' mark. 8 burnished copper pillars hold up the roof, one on each corner, and four in a rough diamond pattern near the center

"Hmmm, I wonder if it may be wise to avoid walking between the pillars," Maloof warns. He looks about the room (visually) for any evidence of prior victims.

There may be some discoloration at the bottom of two of the pillars

Which two?
"If there are pillars in each corner of the room, it will be difficult to avoid walking between them," Rhod says with a grin. "But we might well be cautious of the ones in the middle."

Map stuff:

Somewhere my map has gotten misaligned, so the door that leads to room 15 is 10ft south of where it should be. Is that door where it should be in relation to room 15? if so, I suspect I made the corridor leading to the present rooms too long, i.e. the whole of room 30 is too far north.
In any case, other than that, is the rough shape of the room correct above?

Good enough. Maps don't have to be perfect, so if you make some adjustments to line up corridors, I let it slide. So functionally, your map is correct

|DM: The one by the door in the lower left, and the closest one to you in the middle of the room

Franklin is looking up at the roof. Does it look stable, or is it teetering on the pillars? Are spikes going to fall down on his little head, or scary spiders?
