Yeah, apologies that Jan ended up on a solo mission... another player who was going to start with you never showed up :/

With Mushgnome's game concluded, maybe there are one or two other players (Aqua or Dogma) who might be interested in joining the Hinterlands game?

I'm always interested in a game, though I have to be honest, my online time has been very sporadic as of late.

If that's not a concern then sign me up.

I'm intrigued but I have a couple concerns.

1.) I know nothing about OD&D, there are so many old editions of Dungeons and Dragons it makes my head spin on the differences and similarities. I'm honestly most familiar with AD&D if were talking old school.

2.) I am relatively available though weekends I can't guarantee weekdays i'm usually around.

3.) Give me a relative background and important points for this campaign I should be aware of. I unfortunately don't have a lot of time to read through all of the past posts otherwise I would.

4.) Frankly after losing Mushgnome i'm curious how the DM is feeling inspiration wise. I really enjoyed Mush's game but I hate to get into something that sounds really fun only to lose it so soon as was the case in that one.

Thanks

Dogma, as long as you can get two or three posts in a week, it shouldn't be a problem.

aQuebman,

1) in Ways game, we don't handle any dice rolls, so that part is pretty easy. If you want to read up on ODD rules, Ways is one of the principle people responsible for Delving Deeper, an ODD retro clone. You can download it for free. I have a link to it on the US forums, under I think the general discussion section.

2) again, as long as you can get two or three posts in during the week/weekends you should be fine. But Ways can expound upon that further, I'm sure.

3) ummm... Story is based on an area called the Hinterlands, which we've pretty much never made it to in three years. . Nearest city is controlled by goblins, who lately have been trying to get more control over the trade in the region, running most human-run businesses out of town or out of business.

Current quest we are on involves the retrieval of some holy relics from an old abbey that has apparently been taken over by wolf lycanthropes, which we are about ready to engage in.

4) Ways is quite devoted to this game. I don't see it ending any time soon. Again, this is something Ways can expound upon.

Okay i'm sold, what classes are needed? I'll try to look for the unseen servant post and see if I can find it. Will Ways also be rolling my character up for me? I think that's the part that will require more knowledge out of me then usual is character creation. I always manage to mix up editions with various different resources i've been linked to over the years of PbP'ing lol

Character creation rules are here...

I wouldn't worry about trying to fill in blanks in the party; it would be better to just try and build the best character you can with the rolls you are given.
