Lemmi tries the door, but the handle rattles and turns without any purchase. The door remains shut...
Lemmi tries the door: 1d6=3.

"Right then gents," Lemmi says, turning from the sealed portal, "looks like back we go"

"Werner and Klaus, please lead the way back to the boat room," instructs Boggs. He marches behind them with his torch.
It's time for the fighters to start breaking down doors and killing monsters. Three areas Boggs believes are ripe for exploration: the ante-room, the left-left-left room, and the doors leading from the boat room.

Could we get a quick mud map?

When Boggs, Lemi, and company return to the ship room, Mero suggests an expedition through the door he opened, which opened on the L-intesection with passages leading ahead and to the left.
I think I've got an idea of the area we've explored so far, and I guess that we only get a map from the referee at the start of fights!

The away team march back to the boat room without further incident.
That must be another goodly turn, so monster check: 1d6=? I believe that was the sixth, so those burning torches please scratch one off on your sheets.

As to maps; yes, I will generally provide a mud map where it's fair enough to orient you for your combat tactics. Otherwise, I hope my descriptions of where you are going are pretty accurate. A formal mapper requires something to write on and with in decent (enough) light... that is for you guys to figure out.

What now?

Brother Walfried, still stationed at the propped-open door, listens to the report of the scouting team, and to Mero's suggestion. He puts his back to the door, leaning on it, & clears his throat.

"I'm curious about the passages behind this door, too," he admits, "but I suggest we explore the mystery of that passage with too many left turns, and the door at the end, before we venture this way. All that is closer in space to our original entry point, unless I miss my guess. Let's check it first before we press further into this maze."

Then he questions Boggs further:

"Master dwarf, I've always heard your people are more than usual wise when it comes to underground construction. Did you notice anything strange about those passages you explored? It's baffling my brain to think about it. Maybe it's just a square spiral going in, if you take my meaning?"

"I believe we will discover a small room behind that door, if we can open it. Brother Walfried is correct; perhaps we should revisit it, if only to be methodical."
