I agree, but IC, I don't think Olaf knows about the Plow and Furrow yet. I also think it would be a good idea for the group to start thinking about renting/buying a "safe house" here in Ket. We probably don't have the money for that yet, though.verhaden wrote:Since I'm separated from the group for now, I can't contribute proper, but I wouldn't spend more time at the Jolly Noose than necessary. We called attention to ourselves and our expedition there--the snorks likely have an ear or two extended at that venue.
Absolutely! Rodrick's and Crystal's effects both and donations to their orders. On the whole, though, I agree with your assessments. We need to secure our money and find allies. I would suggest that we return what we have of Rodrick's possessions to the Knightly order, inform them of his death and subsequent burial, and make a donation.
It never hurts to have the clerics on your side. I'm sure they have sway and power.
Yes. The Trader's Council is the cheif political infrastructure of Ket, and is said to have complicated series of underground bank vaults beneath it.eris wrote: 1. Does this town have a bank or secure storehouse?
Armour and weapons can be had from various artisans along Flea street. There is no "Magic shop" per se.eris wrote: 2. Armor, weapons and magic shops?
Mercenaries can be hired at the Jolly Noose. Other hirelings can be found by various means, including advertising.eris wrote: 3. Henchmen?
The Traders' Council is the main political power. It is a council of wealthy merchants.eris wrote: 4. Payoffs to the powers that be, here in Ket? And just *who* are they?
You already have a few minor "allies", including a couple of barkeeps, a farmer, Lumbart Kort (the merchant whom you purchased the map from in the beginning). You can work at establishing others... returning Roddrick's gear to the Temple of Thuul will be a very good step in this direction.eris wrote: 5. Allies...we could use allies here in Ket!
I will give XP as soon as you declare who owns what.danhem wrote:So just to clarify, the gems and other items need to be appraised before they will be worth xp but do not need to be sold for coins, correct?
