Andaros will bind his wounds. He will also congratulate Thorgrim for his courage in battle, and will help him with his injuries.

After that, he will look for a dagger or some other weapon, and will put it in Padrig's hands.

"A warrior like him can't enter the otherside without a weapon."

Andaros will also check if his fallen companion has his gold pouch with him.

Ulric curses his lack of skill with a sling and watches the knave run away. He then sits down beside the heavy chest and tries to tend to his arrow wound. He winces at the pain from the shaft that nearly took his life.

"Perhaps some armor or a shield would not be a bad idea," he mutters to himself.

He looks up from his work at the new dwarf who has joined their ranks. He is a bit startled by the newcomers announcement.

"Greetings. You're appearance was well timed. When did you see these other knaves. How far off were they?"

Wilbert throws a dagger after the knave.

"I be friend Sir! Lets get him!", says Wilbert quickly with a smile only a mother can love, and runs after the knave with axe and an other dagger in hands.

OOC: From your description it doesn't look like Olaf will be able to catch the knave quickly, so I'm not expecting Olaf to pursue him far.

Olaf pursues, but not far. If it doesn't look like he can catch the fleeing Knave well within sight of the rest of his party he will stop and call after the hobbit, "Let him go!"

"Following him alone will just lead us into a trap." says Olaf, "Back to the others.

"My name is Olaf, what is yours, good hobbit?" Olaf asks as he returns to the group and begins to tend his wounds.

No sooner has the din of combat ended as the first true light of the chilled dawn colours the dark sky and Victor, Boris and Fix arrive, fresh and equipped with torces.

"A bitter hard fight," observes Victor grimly, eyes the disarray of hacked and hewn bodies.

"And a famous victory, by the look!" grins Boris with some gusto, furling his burning torch about to see many of the company sorely wounded, but none slain. Fix remains silent as he scans the ravine walls anxiously.

Dieter ignores them, dropping into a sit and drags his wounded self away from the worst of the slaughter to inspect and wash his wounds.

Meanwhile Mads uses a slain knave's crooked dagger to gouge out the Ogre's bloody eye then flings it down the rocky ravine, before Pelenwin carries out his vengeance and severs the Ogre's split head, then spears it atop his pole-axe.

The new comers halt at this display.

"And who be you?" gravels Victor, his usual suspicious self, at Pelenwin.

"Lads be quick somewhere out there is another party of equal size. That bloody Saxxon split his men! and I'd appreciate it greatly if I could travel with you at least until we're out of danger." he says with a smile and a bob of his head. He then heads toward the nearest knave hoping to scavenge a crossbow and a couple daggers.

Nidhogg the Dwarf offers his advice -- and he should seemingly know, being recently counted among Saxxon's Men himself.

Then he scavenges a short-bow from the nearest of the fallen knaves. Was his name Ingmar or Kirby? Nidhogg never could tell them apart anyway. Whoever he was, his bow is a serviceable affair and his rude shoulder quiver has some 8 black-feathered shafts remaining.

Wibert flings his knife after the disappearing knave as he gives chase (1d20=8), but his throw is wide, and clatters off the ravine wall as his target makes long strides and vanishes ahead into the shadows and around a bend...

The short fellow realises the chase is hopeless, and heeds Olaf's calls to give up. Besides, it must be nearer breakfast surely! The sun is about to rise.

Seeing the battle done, Andaros picks up a short-sword and dagger from the slain rogues and staggers over to where Highbough is uttering words of the fair folk over Padrig.

These weapons he places at the hands of the fallen Elf, after the fashion of his people, and says his own, rough words.

He notes with distaste that both Padrig's coin purse and pack are missing before he moves clear to where he can rest and tend to his own hurts.
