Psst... you're in the OOC thread, Mush.

Not that any of the other PCs are...
Yeah, but at least we're not making a claim one way or another

I'm a little unsure of what Guntrum knows of the goings on at this point, what he sees or hears and who is with him. I don't think he'd want to be left completely alone with Murphy. A little unsure of what to do with the mule should he leave as well.

Sorry, DoctorX, but I just have to give you an Exalt for your last interaction.
You do such a great job of voicing Josiane's character. It's so very believable and natural sounding.
Over the three or so years of doing PbP and 25+ years of playing RPGs, one thing I've determined is that it is incredibly hard for a guy to play a female character with any level of belief. Usually they just come off as a guy trying to play a female character... and doing a poor job of it.
Well done, sir.

Many thanks, ehiker133! I'm happy you're enjoying the adventures of our Vagabond Knight! She's certainly a lot of fun to play!

Green Lama wrote:How much are The Abstruse Litterateur and Ryther's Entomological Iridescence worth?
They are worth whatever someone is willing to pay
100 sp for the tome itself, plus 100 sp per spell per spell level for might be "about right" for commonly known spells. New or exotic spells might be worth double, or more.
Green Lama wrote:Can one add spells to an existing tome? Or does one have to lug found spells around in their original form?
You'll be able to fit about eight 1st-3rd level spells, or six 4th-6th level spells, or four 7th-9th level spells in a single tome.
Green Lama wrote:And one more question: Can Magic-Users use slings? Reading the back thread I see Ulric using one but the weapon list for M-U's lists only Staves and Daggers.
Yes; you can use any weapon (Ulric also carries a sword). However, your attack roll will be penalised by -4 with any "non-class" weapon.
Green Lama wrote:Jan is literate of course and will need to read/speak whatever language the 'Abstruse Litterateur' is written in.
All magic-user spells are all written in a magical text which defies comprehension by anyone other than the author. Use of The Effable Apperception spell enable a magic-user to comprehend (and thereafter memorise and/or cast) an individual spell, subject to the usual class and level limits.
We can assume Jan has already used The Effable Apperception on all spells in his spell book, and can therefore read, memorise and cast them.

What is the difference between archaic and historic? Are we talking Latin as historic and classical Greek as archaic?
If you like ;D
Green Lama wrote:
How far away are the Merovingian, Radjemian, and Xanthem speaking regions?
These are foreign realms; they are sufficiently far away that it would be a serious journey to reach them. To date, this kind of travel is entirely outside the scope of the game.
