"I think that other voice was Ursa" Kiplyn would say... He'd then take a quick look around the room and be ready to move on.

Dame Simonetta has no interest in participating and is ready to move onwards.

Kiplyn is on to something! The voice does sound almost exactly like Ursa. And the subject matter of the poem was certainly on-brand for her. But the voice has a brighter, more youthful quality than the middle-aged Ursa you know.

There is nothing else of interest in area #2. Moving on to the east...

Turn 12

The party continues eastward along the beach. They find another cave (area #3) that is littered with old bones. The bones are from some type of giant creature, bigger than a horse, bigger even than a moose!

OOC: Wandering monster check to see if the noise from the haiku chest attracted attention: 1d6 = 1, no encounter.

Does anyone want to spend a turn trying to figure out what kind of creature these bones belonged to?

bilfur walks over and tries to examine the bones. He sniffs a few, might even lick one and tries to think of the animal

Dougal likewise wants to take a moment to examine the bones to see if he can determine their origin.

Bilfur licks the bones and correctly identifies the deep, salty flavour of an ANCIENT SEA CREATURE. He assembles the bones into a complete skeleton so his friends can visualize this prehistoric beast:

OOC: Dougal INT check d20=17, fail. Bilfur gets to roll on WIS instead, since ID'ing animals is a Druid class feature. d20=12, success.

"Looks pretty aquatic, the water level here must have been higher in the past." Dame Simonetta observes.

"That's amazing, Bilfur! You're very wise. You put that critter together like a jigsaw puzzle!"

Willie marvels at the skeleton for a full minute, but is soon bouncing on his toes, eager to press on to the east.

"Wonder what it ate?" Kiplyn adds.
