  1. A pig-iron, boar-tusk faced helm (resting on Freid's head),
  2. A black buckler-shield with white Bleakmass Tree emblem (strapped to Arian's arm),
  3. 19 black-feathered goblin arrows in a Hessian wrap, (lashed to Freid's pack)
  4. A pewter pint-mug styled as a hobgoblin head (stuffed in Zem's pack),
  5. A ring of intertwined iron and silver serpents (shoved in Dopey's pocket),
  6. A traveller's Bleakmass prayer book (digest-sized, 2in thick, black leather),
  7. A black vellum scroll inside an olde bone-scroll tube, (clutched in Kianna's left hand)
  8. A withered claw back-backscratcher, which might once have been a goblin arm,
  9. A gnarled wood walking staff; the top carved as a woeful bald head, (held tight in Faengol's grasp)
  10. A silvered sword with small stones in the hilt (hanging off Leudigar's hip on a belt cut in the shape of a sword),
  11. A cleaver-shaped, pig-iron sword with a goblin-faced basket hilt (sheathed and encircling Freid's girth),
  12. A strip of leather cut into the shape of a sword; its "hilt" a belt buckle. (cinched around Leudigar's waist)
Again, don't forget to update your character sheet with the item(s) you take. It does not appear anyone's character sheet (aside from Leudigar's) has been updated yet.

May we move forward to join the other party?

At this point I'm not going to handwave the merging of the two groups; there is enough opportunity for misadventure between the two groups to make running separately worthwhile, at least for a little bit longer :)

That's okay...but it never hurts to ask. :)

Ah, misadventure: my favorite kind of adventure.

While everyone waits around Kianna will examine the Black vellum scroll inside the olde bone-scroll tube. Then Kianna looks around at the company and says, "Dopey, Fried, Arian, Zem, Faengol, Desmond, and Leudigar we should regroup and go search this place before we are ambushed again. It would be best to find the others if possible. Everyone get ready to move out!"
Updated character sheet, with Black vellum scroll :)

Recap of Recent Events:

Dopey the Hobbet, Leudigar the Tracker, Fried the Fighter, Zem the Dwarf Fighter, Sister Arian, Kianna the Elf Sister/Fighter/Medium and Faengol the Elf medium are here.

After defeating the hobgoblins at the "dropping wall" ambush, our heroes elected not to pursue a grumpy bugbear deeper into the warren--and possibly another trap. Instead they elected to fall back to regroup in the Bleakmass Tree room, and have just opened and distributed all of the Bleakmass presents. There can be no doubt that the hobgoblins are aware of their presence.

What next folks?

Leudigar cinches his new sword belt around his waist and says, "Its time to catch back up with the others, I think. Everyone get their things together quickly and let's move out."

Once he is ready, he stands by the opening where the gnome and the rest of the company headed down and waits for the others. When everyone is ready, he will lead them down the hallway.
...unless someone else wants to lead.

Dopey, now reacquainted with his arms, and senses unaddled (at least as unaddled as the senses of a hobbet can be), sets off after the ranger, boldly proclaiming "lead on Leudigar, I'll be right behind you".

Leudigar the Tracker and Dopey the Hobbet lead the motley crew deeper into the tunnels at a cautious pace... soon they come to a hobgoblin body face down just outside the doorway to an elongate chamber illuminated by a pair of near-spent torches, just inside the room. The hapless hobgoblin appears to have suffered a fatal piercing blow through the neck; at least he must have died instantly.

No sound nor disturbance can be detected from the chamber beyond...
Turn 8 began as another combat turn but didn't carry into a melee, so the remainder of turn 8 had the players withdrawing to the Bleakmass Room. Turn 9 was spent unwrapping, examining, and distributing the Bleakmass presents.

This post was for turn 10; two cautious moves were required to reach the next room.

What orders for turn 11?
