Leudigar moves awkardly with his load, while Fried pads nimbly down the corridor, which curves slightly to the left as the uneven flagstones slope gradually downward...

The torchlight from the watchroom behind them fades as they pass a dark, narrow stair descending to their left, before another orange glow welcomes them ahead, and the ruckus of rough voices grows louder. Leudigar pauses at the dark stair, while Fried is able to get on ahead until an open doorway comes into sight, just around the curve. It's still about 30ft ahead of him, and it's clear from the voices that there are a bunch of Goblin-kin within, seemly engaged in an animated discourse... Alas, Fried has never spoken to a Goblin, let alone studied their Gobbledygook tongue. He hasn't a clue what they're saying in there...
Dungeon Exploration Turn 2

Leudigar's movement is restricted to 6", while Fried can make 12".

Conclusion of first move.

What next?

"Killing is too good for hobgoblins," says Kianna. Keeping her horse bow in hand she will stop what she is doing and point at any approaching sounds, while she examines the hobgoblin's desk for any draws or anything interesting. Then look for what weapons and coin may be found on the hobgoblin body.

Zem give the latch a look and smiles, patting the hammer-back of his axe. "I can jam this latched easy enough if we are to flee". .

Zem Follows the others through the gate.

Akbar remains in the rear — if he spots anybody approaching from the rear flank, he'll attempt to warn the others without making a racket.

Back in the watch room, Kianna gives the dead Hobgoblin scribe a distasteful look over. Despite his scholar's attire, he still wears a grubby poniard dagger on his belt. Probably, he would have his purse secreted inside his bloody vest... The desk is a crude affair with a single, flat drawer. The goblin-ledger, an ink pot and a half-dozen scruffy, ink-missed quills are sprawled on the desk and floor.
Up the passageway: waiting to see what Fried wants to do...

Zax, now somewhat calmer he has managed to vent some frustration on a greenskin, takes stock of his surroudings. He decides to leave the snooping on the stairs to the two longlegs but, knowing his letters, has a look to see what the doorman's ledger has to say, ignoring the tentative peerings of the longlegs woman.

Freid turns and nods his head toward Leudigar to move up. As Leudigar comes forward, Freid tries to count the number of different voices from the room ahead.

When Leudigar gets to him, he leans in and whispers to him, "From their voices I estimate there are at least, XXX Snorks up ahead, but I don't understand Goblinagook so I don't know what they're talking about. Do you?"

Being unsure of how quietly he can move in his new mail armor, Wetzel does not join the scouting party, but stays at the gate and prepares to cover their retreat if necessary.
