The lesser experienced Druid will also try to identify if the spiders could kill us with venom, as opposed to rending us to bits. And then will also use his sling.

Kiplyn will use his sling to pick off one of the spiders, hoping not to hit their pray if it is still alive.

Noh fails to identify the spider species. But (friendly advice) if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't bet my life on it not being venomous!

Robur casts Fairie Fire on the spiders so none of them can try anything sneaky on his friends. After than he readies his Hobbit sling to attack.

Surprise Round
Our heroes launch a ferocious volley of slingstones, catching the giant spiders completely off-guard.
Robur casts Faerie Fire, causing two of the spiders to glow (and boosting his allies' accuracy).
Dougal, Kiplyn, Dame Simonetta, Wilbur, and Noh all hit the first spider, wounding it badly, and then Ginger finishes it off with a slingstone to the head.
Fiona wounds the second spider.
Thus concludes the surprise zeroth round. What are your intentions for Round 1? Due to the distance, if you choose to fire another round of sling stones, you would automatically win initiative.
