Sili's flail lands another ringing blow for (2dd=3,5) 7 hit points, as Soval simultaneously punches his sword point through the giant's stone hard gut, running it through for (2dd=3,3) a further 9 hit points. With all these blows raining down upon it the monster capitulates, and is cut, slashed, and beaten, dashed and hatcheted bloodily unto its ignoble death.

And then the roaring monster retaliates, focusing all its terrible weight upon (1=Lomeluin, 2=hallam, 3=Einer, 4=Nat; 1d4=1) Lomeluin -- the Age old Trollish hatred of Elves boiling up at the last -- (1d20=2) but its hurts are many, rage clouding its dim judgement, and Lomeluin dodges easily aside with sharp Elvish efficiency. Then it is Einer and Nat's blades that fall upon its scaled back (2d20=7,10), but all are deflected harmlessly against its tough scales.
