Galan skips backward to stay out of reach, but the two goblins suddenly veer left to attack Lucky!

Galan pegs one with an arrow, but the other puts an axe into the back of Lucky's skull, killing him before he can get his next spell off. Maggor and Quirinus are splattered with Lucky's brains just as they come to. Luckily for them Galan puts another arrow into the goblin, breaking its spine before it can do any more harm.

A yards away, Proximus neatly side-steps the last goblin's spear thrust before crushing its skull with his mace.
"Quite so." he mutters gruffly.

It's all over folks; the players have won again!
Round THREE

Movement
Galan continues to back-peddle and shoot at goblins 1 and 2 who, given they can't catch the nimble elf, divert left to mob Lucky.


Spells and Shooting
Happen at the half-way point of the move.
Goblin1 is a scarcely more than 10ft from Lucky, and Goblin2 not 20ft. Their speed is 6" so they will hit Lucky (and Maggor) before his charm person goes off, ruining it!

Only then does Galan's (man+1) first arrow land; now firing into melee! Goblin1 is (AC6) but any odd roll will hit a random target. d20=14+1, it's a hit. 1d6=5. Goblins have at most 5 hp, so G1 is slain! Galan's second shot will come at the end of the round.

Melee
Goblin0 (man; spear and sheild) with spear vs Proximus (AC2) d20=3, a miss.
Proximus (2 men; mace and shield) vs goblin0 (AC6); 2d20=11, 20, one hit. d6=4. Goblin0 has d6=5-1 4 hp, and is slain!

Goblin2 (man) attacks Lucky (AC9) from behind with hand axe: d20=12+2, a hit. d6=6! Lucky is killed and his spell ruined!

Finally, Galans (man+1) vs goblin2 d20=14+1 another 14 and another hit. d6=4. Goblin2 has d6=3-1 = 2 hp and is slain!

Analysis

The sleep bomb went rampant again, but yet again the players manage to recover from that early setback.
It seems pretty clear that sleep should only be used at a good long range. Given the small size of typical dungeon rooms, this probably means only in large caverns or outdoors.

Goblin movement rate of 6" also meant that Galan (move 9") could continually stay out of range and fire. Possibly, moving backward should be at half rate or something.
I had Galan's second shot at the end of each round, but I should go back and check exactly when that second bow shot falls in a round.
