Olaf is feeling shrunken; a diminished shadow of his former self. As though some evil force has a tight-fisted clutch on his heart.

"I still think we should visit yer friend the collector first. If we swap 'em at the money-changer, we get whatever the gold n' silver are worth. But if the coins are ancient and rare..." here the dwarf's eyes light up with a fervor you have never seen before "they have value beyond the mere weight of the metal."

He calms down a bit, and scratches his chin under his beard.

"An' don't ferget, we're tryin' to keep people from knowing we wuz tomb-robbin' last night. Even if the collector only gives us three or four gold crowns per coin, they ain't likely to go whisperin' about us."

Olaf drags himself downstairs and slumps into a chair to rest. When the goblin butler (Bennig, I think) comes by, Olaf says, "Bennig, do you know of a good healer here in Ket?"

Josiane would be horrified to think that the holy mission of cleansing the Gottfried tomb of evil could be thought of as 'tomb-robbin'!'

Fortunately she is busy feeding the mule and the goblins...

Gustave nods sage-like at the suggestions of Dorgan and Desmond. He ponders for a moment, scratching his chin (which glints in the sunlight), "I think, my fine dwarf, you have a most valid point. Though it would be expeditious to change these coins at the said money-changer, the less we broadcast our movements the better and, if we happen to make a little extra coin out of it, then may it be so."

Decision made, he strides off toward Brigitta's, letting the others catch up, "My contact is, I think, discrete, and if she knows not of these things herself, may know a reliable person or persons who can help us."

(OOC: a lawful character would be eager to destroy an evil artifact, and would earn an XP award for doing so. Neutrals wouldn't care either way.)

I just checked -- apparently Josiane, Dorgan and Guntrum are the only such persons present!

Bennug the butler abides Olaf's call, and is soon attending the shrunken fighter by the fireplace in the great hall.

"If the Master is feeling ill," Bennug maintains a perfectly neutral tone, as though Olaf's health were no more or less interesting than organising the laundry roster, "Perhaps he should seek alms from the Sisters Of Mercy in their cloister? Should I send one of the staff a-running to fetch aid?"

Brigitta's Lavaliere
(Gustave, Dorgan, Desmond/Mondes)

Gustave strides past the well to do homes and businesses of a hat maker, a fine tailor, an elegant pastry chef, before reaching the sparkling clear stone hanging from a thick silver chain on the sign board that marks Brigitta's Lavaliere (the jeweller's store).

Desmond/Mondes and Dorgan hurry to keep up.
"d**n his gait!" puffs Mondes, from beneath the extra-wide hood.

Gustave scarcely waits for his fellows before stepping confidently into the tight little jewellery store.

Within, is the small but familiar store. It is quiet compared to the street outside, dimly lit and calm. In truth it is little wider than an alley. Glass topped benches occupying the length of both walls and are stocked with beautifully lit (by some trick of mirrors, perhaps?) and sumptuously presented rings, necklaces, belts, broaches and other precious looking trinkets.

The store is empty save for the proprietor, who has apparently only just arrived at her place of purveyance with a large mug of a hot beverage.

"Good morning," Brigitta says in her high pitched voice.

Brigitta is as slight and delicate as ever; almost child like. Her long black hair is tied in numerous long tresses with red ribbons, and she is wearing a neat little dress and enormous black rimmed glasses.

"Ooh!" gasps Brigitta as she recognises her charming customer.

What now?
