Re: The Eighth Adventure

"Those are exquisite pieces of armor, but I have other plans I think. I'll help explore the dungeon too after I do a few things around town today." says Robur. "But I'll be cautious for a change. Instead of staying at the Inn, I'd be comfortable enough sleeping at the Druid's grove. I'd like to get a little adventure food and then go to the brewer's and cheese makers, and get some bottles of mead and some cheese. I'd like to hire a mead porter. Maybe I can hire someone at the Inn on the way back to the Druid's Grove?"

Re: The Eighth Adventure

The party entered the Dungeon first thing, and was down there about 4 hours, so let's say it's lunch time. Frederick prepares a huge meal of pancakes, johnnycakes, scones, apple pie, and cheddar cheese. He doesn't have any mead for Robur, but he has a jar of delicious honey to go with the scones.

Ginger Flint has earned a place in the party as Dame Simonetta's first Hireling. In lieu of standard wages, she asks to be paid in antiques and metal-works.

Robur will be on the lookout to hire a Porter. The Inn seems like a logical place to check.

What about Douglas and Fiona? Does anyone engage further with them? Any thoughts on offering them a place in the party as 'hired guns'? If you don't team up with them, be aware they could be running around the Dungeon as a competing NPC party.

Last but not least the dentist Dr. Rabbitz. Does anyone engage with this illustrious specialist?

Ursa says, "I will come with you to the Grove and introduce you to The Ashstaff so there are no misunderstandings. He is the Druid of Hornpipe, a human who mostly shares our beliefs. He likes gifts. Each of you who enter the Grove should bring an offering. If you are not a druid then you can drop a few gold pieces in the donation box. If you are a druid like me you can offer flowers, herbs, fruit, nuts, berries, or food for his pet bear. I am going to bring two apple crisps: one for Jaroo Ashstaff, and one for the bear."

OOC: Correction that it's about 1/5 mile, or 1,000 feet, to the other end of town.

Beppo was in a corner checking all the copper pieces to make sure they were all legit. He had overheard some strange conversations about a man named Jaroo with an ash staff and-- what was that?

"Wait -- there is a place that sells alcohol around here?" he said, suddenly bursting into the crowded common room. "I want my share of the treasure now so I can go celebrate with a pint! Who's with me?"

"I'm with you Beppu! I need to see about some mead at the Inn," says Robur. "Douglas? Fiona? Want to come along? And Dr. Rabbitz, I'd like to know how you met up with my friends [nodding in the direction of Douglas and Fiona]."

"...The Inn is about a mile west of here, you can't miss it. They have a big sign out front, depicting a human bar-maid, wearing practically nothing at all. Disgusting if you ask me. It gives this town a bad name!"

Dame Simonetta somehow manages to raise one eyebrow and wrinkle her brow simultaneously. "That hardly sounds like a reputable establishment, entirely unsuitable for respectable hobbets. Simply unsuitable!" She glares at Beppo and Robur.

"Well then, it seems my first order of business is to find acceptable habitation. Who shall join me?"

Dame Simonetta will change out of her armour and into fancy clothes (OOC: which have been on her character sheet since the time of character creation, finally a chance to use them!). Regardless of who chooses to join her, she will head out into town with Ginger. Her first stop will be the village elder.

Noh and Carc will go with Ursa (and Bilfur?) to the Grove. He's had enough of civilization and doesn't need to see more of the town.

OOC: don't really want to miss the next adventure down below, so Noh can stay close-ish by.

Kiplyn frowns at the news of having to move. "Sacks, well that's hardly a trade. I like that big old building it felt safe." He would join Dame Simonetta in her quest to find them new lodging
