Our Heroes explore their immediate surroundings, but the results are somewhat inconclusive. All of the cracks and tunnels are twisted and winding, so it's impossible to tell where they lead, without actually committing. Dame Simonetta thinks that probably all of the eastern cracks lead to the same area. Dougal looks for a way to block up the tunnels, but all he finds is solid stone.

They're just sort of scurrying around back there in the cracks, trying to make sense of the situation with their little rodent brains.
