Good point! But technically that 'squid thing' wasn't on the 1st dungeon level; it was shouting up to you from a deeper level. ;)

I did deliberately steer away from standard 1st level 'cannon fodder' humanoids, like kobolds and goblins. I kind of got my fill of that play style, a few years back, with the Keep on the Borderland campaign, clearing out those caves.

To recap what the party has learned about Hornpipe 2.0:
We need a "notes" section :) Or is it okay bot pop this in the Character Sheets and Reference thread?
It would be nice to have a page we can all edit for keeping "company notes". Would anyone have an objection to a wiki on CampaignWiki.org?

Or something simpler -- a shared Google Doc? This would be embeddable in the forum (I think).

Sorta like the character sheets are embedded? I don't know how to do any of that, but definitely down to help keep track via whatever method is easiest.
Thanks!

I am supportive of a player-led wiki!

If you 'quote' my post with the embedded google sheet, you can see the code I used. It's not hard, but as with any type of coding, it needs to be just so.

Arguably I should be making you guys draw your own dungeon map, but that would be so hard with this natural/irregular cavern environment! Much more humane for me to do the map for you. Actually I kind of like our method of gradually revealing the map as you explore. Doing the "fog of war" style maps, has been one of the most fun parts of this game, for me.

I have a slight preference for wiki over Google Doc (though it's great to be able to embed Google Sheets here), and I had a couple minutes, so here we go:

https://campaignwiki.org/wiki/HobbetsOf ... e/HomePage

As of right now it's mainly just a collection of links back to the forum. But I kept forgetting where I put the marching order ... now it's easily linked from the wiki!

As with all wikis, please add stuff to it, move stuff around, and edit my mistakes. :)

OOC: The Dame has a lot of things she could do around town, but personally I prefer Dungeon-delving to town-crawling so my vote is the dungeon!
Agreed.

I've put this info on the wiki on a Hornpipe page:

https://campaignwiki.org/wiki/HobbetsOf ... e/Hornpipe

Please add info as you all think of it!

One more comment: This is my most well-planned and organized campaign ever (my long-time players can back me up on that) but there is always room for improvement. If you can think of any helpful info or resources I can provide for the wiki, let me know!

I'm making a scrapbook of Jennell Jaquays artwork for my upcoming Treasure Hunt campaign. Look at this one, perfect for Hobbet Heroes!

(Carcosa fans will also recognize Jaquays as the 'Bone Woman' illustrator from AD&D Deities & Demigods Nehwon mythos 'ghoul'.)
