OOC: I forgot to ask, does Dame Simonetta stash the owl medallion in her pack, or is she wearing it around her neck?

Re: The Fifth Adventure

Hmm... they sorta look like nostrils, though? If you picture the whole thing as a long face, with the mouth being at the bottom surrounded by the root system.

That's weird because you'd think I'd get dirtier as I get older.

Re: The Fifth Adventure

Turns 12-13

The Hobbet Adventurers return to the scene of the ghoul battle (Area 21) and stash the bronze armor and silver nuggets, hidden under a pile of bones. They continue northwest to a small, empty cave (Area 25). The only other exit is a low, narrow tunnel to the northwest. It would require moving single file, crawling on hands and knees.

Re: The Fifth Adventure

Dame Simonetta approaches the narrow tunnel and peers down it, looking for any clues of anything on the other side (smells, sounds). "I don't like the look of that tunnel, especially with our loot stashed on this side!" Dame Simonetta says.
If we don't detect anything interesting down that tunnel, my vote would be to check the final arm radiating out from room 19.

"Yay, looks too cramped. Let's go to wider passage back that way." Kiplyn points back southwest towards 19.

Re: The Fifth Adventure

Before they leave Willie helps Dame S check for signs of traffic in the low tunnel, but he's also in favour of checking the final "arm" before they go crawling about.

Re: The Fifth Adventure

Turn 14

Dame Simonetta and Willie crouch down and have a good listen by the northwest tunnel. They hear nothing except the faint chirping of crickets.

Rather than crawl through the narrow tunnel, the party backtracks and explores to the west. They follow the wide passageway to an intersection with tunnels heading south and west. To the north is an empty cave (Area 26). This cave feels abandoned, and the shadows that flicker at the edge of lantern light cast an aura of wistful nostalgia, what the Portuguese call saudade.

In the northeast corner of the cave, hidden behind a rock pillar, is a low, narrow tunnel that looks like it could connect to Area 25. The crickets can be heard here, as well.
