Re: (081) Journeymen Returned

Wen finds a spot to sit down and have a bit of think."Tricky how can we get a couple of ogres to willing come out of their home. By all accounts they like food, money and fighting. We lack any real food they want besides are bodies, but perhaps we could try something subtle, say a very small campfire far enough out at night might draw a small patrol to us. If we pre-set some deadfalls and position an ambush"

Re: (081) Journeymen Returned

If we got the Templars out here to dig a hole deep enough to hurt a falling ogre, and filled it with sharpened wooden spikes, how long would that take to set up?

Re: (081) Journeymen Returned

Dwarfs are expert miners, and can dig twice as quickly as men. Still... digging a 20ft deep pit trap is a serious piece of work that would probably take the best part of a day.

However, with a good shovel and pick you could probably undermine the boulder blocking the rear entry with far less effort. Its own mass could cause it to roll/slide/fall into a channel you'd dig. Perhaps you could open a crawl space above it large enough for a dwarf or elf, but too small for an ogre?

Highbough is unimpressed with the idea of assaulting the ogres in their lair, but would entertain a plan to recover the treasure stealthily.

Ok, why doesn't Dorgan dig you a hole into the rear entry and you can sneak in and have a look around?

Re: (081) Journeymen Returned

What does Dorgan intend to use for tools? Even a dwarf can't dig far with his hands alone...

Re: (081) Journeymen Returned

Assuming this is the agreed-upon plan, Dorgan would return to the Abbey and look for a shovel or pick.

I think he means that you need to make it an IC action and not an OC discussion. ;)
