The Elvish waybread is as tasty and nourishing as fresh rations, but keeps like--and weighs as much as--iron rations. That is, one pound of waybread will keep you fit and strong for a full day's march. It is a slightly sweet, twice baked honey-cake wrapped tight and kept moist in forest leaves.

You can take as much as you are willing to carry... if Desmond carried nothing else but the clothes on his back, he could manage about 10 weeks supplies for himself, unencumbered.

As a fighter/thief there is no reason a bow would disadvantage Desmond.

Let us say the of success will be improved by half--from 2 in 6 to 3 in 6--with both of you working together.

Gallaine tells you that the waybread will remain fresh and wholesome for a month, and edible yet for a full season. Which you find somewhat difficult to believe...

The council comes to a close with the moon already high in the night sky.

Much has been said, supplies have been secured, and option opened to you. In short, it has been a success for our company.

"Rest well, and on the morrow we shall take action!" Declares Gallaine.

| Tomorrow will be turn/day 3 in Southwatch. I'll surmise what I think players have said they are doing with their next turn, and you can correct me ;) |

Gustave will procure himself some fresh raiment from the quartermaster - if possible something without too many trees/flowers on it. Otherwise he is content with his kit, except he will obtain a few weeks worth of these..."waybread"
thingies.

A bath would be a good thing too.

On the morrow he will leave the sorcerers to their ball-antics and join any expedition into the unknown.

During the next day, Beringar will attempt to get himself one of them bows, a quiver of arrows and a bit of practice. He'll grab three weeks worth of Waybread too. Other than that, he will rest, eat, drink, and see to it that the rest of his equipment is in order (waterskin re-filled, et cetera). The talk of meeting woodland spirits bothers him, but he will be quiet about his concerns.

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Day three dawns.

There were few other questions asked during the council which I didn't formally answer. Here are some of them:

Q Do any of the Elves appear to be black sheep or dissenters?
A Not that you've noticed.

Q Where is "The Boar"?
A The Elves haven't seen him since he was spotted heading East (into the Hinterlands) about a week ago.

Q Do the Elves have magical divination for scrying upon Ket and surrounds?
A No (or not that they are willing to admit) -- they are a small scouting outpost here. They spy manually.

As for day three thus far I have it that:

Ulric & Josiane are working on the crystal ball.

Wen & Highbough, want to visit the woodland spirits -- and possibly take some others along with them.
Wen and Highbough will have to decide who else they inform of--and invite to participate in--this "secret Elves' business".

Meanwhile, I will assume that the majority of the company are preoccupied with procurement of the requisite supplies from the quartermaster. Any one who requires non-elf sized armour or clothing will of course need to be properly measured and the garb re-tailored to fit, which will take most of the day. It will be a case of ordering these things today, and picking them up late tomorrow. Weapons, helms, shields, and stores can be arranged today.

Is there anything else in particular that players what to do today?

(Remember that it is a "game turn" and that you are generally entitled to do one practical thing per "turn").

Well THAT isn't likely to happen! He'd rather not dual class as a pack animal... He will take three weeks of waybread then, as long as it does not encumber him.

Highbough's tendency would be to keep the meeting a secret from the others, though he would not prevent Wen from spreading the word.

Wen think about it for bit staring out into the forest then have a quiet talk with Highbough. At the end of which he would be prepare to go.

Upon Gallaine word that she is ready to show us the way Wen would try something new. First he would cast he Eerie Lambent and gather the candles around his head, then he would don his new suit of Leather Armor and see if he can still control the magic. If so great we would set off with the strange crown of candles as an escort.

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Dawn finds Highbough's bed empty. The introvert has had enough of civilization, it seems. Young Wen might have quite a start to come around a bend of the misty forest path and find the tall gray Elf looming out of the mist, lost in silent contemplation.
