Re: (053) Moonshine

When Desmond finally wakes from his fitful slumber, and the subject of food comes up, he offers some of his fishing hooks and lines up to anyone who thinks they can use them to get food for the group.

| The referee rolls for wilderness pursuit, taking into account the cover of night, and the relative size and speed of those involved... d6 |

Wen keeps a cautious eye and ear out for any warning sign, but the wily old elf seems to have done a good job of confusing the enemy... running down streams, jumping narrow defiles, sticking to rocky outcrops, passing through tree boughs all seem to have beaten the wolves' noses. For now.

As mid morning approaches, Wen suddenly needs rest more urgently than ever before. Any last instructions?

Re: (053) Moonshine

As the sun climbs higher Wen gets more drowsy but the time his watch is over he is quiet wiped out. Wen will wake Armando for the second watch figuring the wounded need their rest, then he'll makes small "nest" in the grass and falls fast asleep with in his partial cover. Murmuring something about the feeling of the sun on a the sleeping mind...zzzzzzzz

OOC: Assuming he wakes up again he'll study some spells.

Re: (053) Moonshine

Olaf falls asleep quickly and sleeps deeply not remembering any dreams he might have, but as the sun approaches its apex he opens his eyes with a grunt and sits up. His mouth is dry and his stomach is growling and both his head and the burns on his body ache.

The tall thin warrior looks around the makeshift camp and stretches his arms up over his head and opens his mouth in a mighty yawn. Slowly he stands and stretches again, shakes his arms and legs to get the stiffness out.

Olaf nods to anyone already awake and whispers, "Good morning."

Next he bends over and starts going through what little he has in the way of supplies and equipment. He has lost his shield and chain mail, but he still has his sword and his pack. He had a bow and quiver of arrows, that he never used inside the Abbey, did they make it past the acid of the Ooze?

Olaf goes through his pack, has be by any chance a trail ration or two tucked away in there?

His water skin is empty, but he hears the sounds of a nearby brook and soon has it filled and his thirst quenched. His sharp eyes spy the silvery flashes in the stream...fish. Maybe he could catch one, if he had a hook, and some bait. Bait he should be able to find by turning over a rock or two near the stream and digging around in the soft damp dirt for wigglers. A hook, though...who has a hook and some line?

Oh and by the by, Olaf will inquire as to the eyesight of our sightless companions. Here's to hoping it was flash blindness and will start to come back on its own.

Josiane's fatigue and hunger are somewhat alleviated by her delight in the companionship of her new owl friend. She fusses and tends to the bird as best she may, serving up any appropriate scraps of rations that may be remaining to her if she thinks the bird might be tempted by them.

Remembering the bird's partiality to nestling in Envongr's pack she seeks to establish if a similar perch in her backpack might be to it's liking.

O.O.C: Sorry if posting's a little sporadic at present, all. Very busy workwise at the moment.

Gustave, armour glimmering in the late morning light and perfectly offsetting the gentle glow in his flowing locks, sleeps on. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Highbough arises considerably refreshed indeed. He fills a metal cup from the mountain brook, then heats it to boiling with the power of his mind. A pinch of precious leaves completes the beverage, and the old Elf enjoys a cup of tea as he reviews his notes on the heating of metals and other magical mysteries. [He memorizes the torrefaction, smaze, and trammel.]

Re: (053) Moonshine

When Dieter wakes up, he takes a walk around the perimeter of the camp. First, he circles it from close nearby, then he moves 20-30 yards out and circles it again. He looks both inward and outward, seeking both signs of potential trouble and possible defense works.

Satisfied that the camp is all that it can be for the moment, he fills his waterskins and looks about again, this time for potential game. A belly full of water is better than nothing, but a belly with food in it is better by far.
