How does the floor look? any surface cover (dust, sand)? writing/carving?
If it looks normal enough, Wiglaff will cautiously approach the skeleton with his spear-folk and take a good look. Any visible signs of treasure? is it oriented in any particular direction?

Typical dungeon floor.
The skeleton's only unusual feature is that all its fingers are missing, but one. Upon that one finger is a simple gold ring
