"Do you know of the wizards Fred and Bob? We heard there is a feud and a reward?" Maloof ventures to ask.

(Franklin waits for the answer.)

"They are always after our lucky charms!" says the leader. "If they were gone, we could take over their rooms too, and research in peace. We would pay 1000 gold reward for each of them"

"Oh really?" says Wiglaff, thoughtfully. "Maybe we can take care of that problem for you. We'll be back in a bit!"

Wiglaff will beckon the rest of the party back through the door, and once well away from it explain his plan: do a little more exploration (east of 26), then return to the Mages' Research Collective and tell them we've finished off Fred and Bob. We don't want to reveal the chambers are empty & unguarded till we're fairly certain we've got all the treasure.

Maloof is in agreement with Wiglaff's plan.

Smart plan! Franklin agrees.

Aldbane is in agreement.

East of room 26, the corridor goes 20 feet, then turns south in the 30 foot section

It looks like it connects up neatly with the southern corridor, but Maloof goes and peeks around the corner to be sure.
