Potty watches the display of hobbetian machismo unfold for a few moments as shields and weapons are set.

He pulls his glass from his pack and, no stranger to caves (some of his more exotic finds were achieved in such locales), scans about for errant fungi.

Potty casts an eye around the now-empty room. His gaze rests on the door (outside of which is normality, but also a plague of lurking humans) then drifts back to the backroom, wherein lay axes, screams of pain, and adventure . ...and the possibility of an entirely new species of mushroom! He steels...

Potty has extracted the remains of a cooked mushroom from his pancake and is inspecting it with his eye-glass when suddenly his comrades are overcome with a bout of collective lunacy - shouting about johnnycakes and flipping axes about, talking of adventure and the like. He retreats into the corner...

He keeps his distance from the battered 'adventurers'.

Potty, clearly unhinged by the palpable tension in the air (and inappropriate snoring coming from the kitchen) stands just inside the door, as if ready to leave at any moment. He came here for the promise of pancakes after all, not swords and whispers.

"Yes yes yes ok ok...ok" says Potty, clearly not ok with it at all, but nonetheless turning himself gingerly to the task (sacks in hand).

He wonders absently if 'pancakes' might mean 'mushroom pancakes' and if so, which breed would best suit a coating of honey...
