Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

Oh... you don't play with the "dwarf of holding" alternate encumbrance rule? I think a large sack holds what, 600 coins? Can we say retroactively that Urist was a clever dwarf and grabbed gold coins preferentially over the silver and copper? ;)

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

I was under the impression Urist is carrying a large sack filled with loot: "Ooh, shiny!" beams Urist as he moves to scoop the gold and copper coins into his empty large sack. Meanwhile Urist is happily scooping gold and copper coins out of the stone chest. In either case, I don't think we...

Re: (075) A War Footing!

Boggs isn't quite as enthusiastic as Leudigar. "Now hold just a minute! How are the two of us--excuse me--the two and a half of us--going to defeat a whole fortress full of goblins all by ourselves?" He thoughtfully hawks a loogey. Always profit-minded, he continues. "Also we need to ...

Re: (075) A War Footing!

"Don't even get me started about Ket," curses Boggs in his baritone growl. "Used to be a Dwarf could earn a good living there as a Mouser. Now it's swarming with gobblos willing to work for coppers on the gold piece. I made it out just before that puffed-up council of snorks declared...

Re: (075) A War Footing!

"Awww, Leuddie, I'm so sorry... your kin were good people," Boggs offers. He passes the wine. "Let us drink to their memory."

After a respectful interval, he states plainly: "So I imagine it's revenge y'll be after?"

Re: (075) A War Footing!

"I've pinch of ol' westbridge leaf for you," Dopey offered. The hobbet sat under a rowan tree, puffing his pipe. "Pipeweed's the one thing I didn't forget to pack when I set out from home." "Bless my beard!" says the Dwarf. "It is not every day you see a Hobbet in...

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

Urist bounces his coin-sack in his hand to gauge its weight. "I wonder if this is enough to retire on?" he wonders. To the others he says, "The orcs will be angry. Let's find a well-defensible campsite because they might retaliate and bring the fight to us. Did we see any good spots a...

Re: (075) A War Footing!

A grizzled Dwarf draws on his pipe-stem, squints wistfully into the bowl, and taps the ashes out into the palm of his mitt-sized hand. "Pipeweed? Pipeweed?" he asks each stranger as he moves about the camp.

Re: Primordial Ooze...

Thanks ways! Boggs swapped his marbles for a sling. It was a tough choice.

@ehiker I saw what you wrote about Boggs on your character sheet, neat!

@eris Do you think Boggs and Gunt already know each other? Maybe they have been traveling together for some time?

Re: 10 - Tor-Xonor the Upper Ruins

Thanks, in that case Urist will not run like a sissy if his friends choose to fight. But he would still vote to back away from 30 orcs. Perhaps with a better plan we can fight them in smaller groups.
