Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Dawn finds Highbough's bed empty. The introvert has had enough of civilization, it seems. Young Wen might have quite a start to come around a bend of the misty forest path and find the tall gray Elf looming out of the mist, lost in silent contemplation.

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Wen & Highbough, want to visit the woodland spirits -- and possibly take some others along with them. Wen and Highbough will have to decide who else they inform of--and invite to participate in--this "secret Elves' business". Highbough's tendency would be to keep the meeting a secret ...

Re: Out Of Character

Highbough certainly has competing priorities (spell research, unlocking the mysteries of the golem maker's journal, etc.) however I volunteered him for the Wood Spirit meeting because he is uniquely qualified to bargain with darker-type spirits in their native Infernal tongue.

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Highbough leans upon Josiane for support. "Thank you, Saint. Always gentle have you been with this unlovable old Elf." To Gallaine, he responds, "Do you see the rays of light shining from this human's aura? You will not regret your investment in these heroes, My Lady. Your generosity ...

Re: Out Of Character

Woo hoo, double-digit hit points! :) Question for Mr. DM: How many days of quiet study does Highbough need to assimilate his spellbook for the new Warlock class? (Or does it happen instantaneously "off screen" since the changes to the spell list were a DM-initiated house-rules conversion?)...

Re: (055) Wildwood/The Ivory Wold

Taurnorn/Highbough waits for the perfect lull in the conversation, and then continues his train of thought, as though the 15 minutes since he last spoke was a mere pause to take a breath. "My brethren and sistren of the Ivory Wold, can you not see the danger in Ket is a threat to us all? If Ket...

Re: Out Of Character

I agree with doctorx, all of Highbough's decisions have been consistent with the meta-game goal of getting Olaf's level drain restored. If that's off the table as our primary goal (it's been steering our actions for what, almost a year??), then frankly, in-character, he doesn't really care about the...

Re: Out Of Character

We are totally butchering B2: Caves of Chaos over on odd74 boards right now. I do literally mean "butchering," WIlliam S. Burroughs 'cut-up' style... up is down, west is east, Cthulhu-worshipping Deep Ones are spawning in the Cave of the Unknown, etc. It's nuts. I come here and game with y...
